Event data |
Name: Sheffield and District - Manchester Club Match |
Place: Sheffield |
Start date: 1 Dec. 1883 |
End date: 1 Dec. 1883 |
|
Notes: |
On the 19th board, W. Wood played for Sheffield, but the name of his Manchester opponent is 'not legible' according to Steve Mann (in his copy of the report from the Sheffield and Rotherham Independent). Also, that report gives 'T. Scott' both on board 8 and board 15 for Sheffield. Steve Mann guesses that the first of these should be 'S. Scott'. |
