Event data
Name: 3rd Belarus Championship
Place: Minsk (?)
Start date: Aug. 1926
End date: Aug. 1926

Notes:
There was a disagreement about the barring from competition of M. Kagan, from Leningrad, who arrived late. Three players withdrew as a result: Gauchberg, after playing draws against Blumberg and Geiman; Geiman after losses to Vigodchikov and Belavenets as well as the draw with Gauchberg; and Shukevich-Tretiakov, after a loss to Belavenets. Although not included in the official scores, I include these initial games that were played but not counted. This information comes from a website from Belarus sent by Barak Saltz to which I have not been able to obtain access (https://chesscenter.by/docs/history/1926.pdf).
