Event table notes

Event data
Place: Philadelphia
Start date: Feb. 1895
End date: Feb. 1895

Notes:
Reichhelm (p.20) gives the result of Albin's play with Voigt during his visit to Philadelphia as +1-3=2 for Albin. Urcan (pp.122-123) says that they tied a 'serious match' of three games, but that the result of subsequent offhand games was +1-3=2 for Albin. He gives no reference for the first result, which is not mentioned by Reichhelm. To confuse matters further, on p.126 he gives the result of offhand play as +2-3=2 for Albin, and in his table of Albin's match results (p.264), Urcan gives +1-3=1 for Albin against Voigt and does not include the 'serious match'. I assume that the score given in this table is in error and without further evidence suppose that the 'serious match' result is somehow mistaken (perhaps a partial score for the six games reported by Reichhelm?).
