Notes: |
The Times Literary Supplement of 24 Jan. 1902 gives this result as played 'recently', so I am guessing that it took place in late 1901 (though it might have been in Jan. 1902). The winner is given as 'H.M. McLeod' but is identified as the Canadian player who participated in the 6th American Chess Congress (New York 1889), so must therefore be Nicholas M. MacLeod. No location is mentioned. |
