Notes: |
In a letter in the Schachzeitung (Apr. 1847, p.117) and the Chess Player's Chronicle of 1847 (v.8, p.191), von der Lasa says that he played two games even against Henderson, without giving the result. However, as they then went on to play several games at odds, von der Lasa giving Pawn and two moves, it must be the case that von der Lasa won both the even games. He also says that his visit to Hamburg took place 'towards the close of last year'. |
