   | Notes: |
   | Harding gives 5.5-4.5 for Rubinstein; Feenstra Kuiper, Golombek, and Hooper and Whyld give +5-3=2 for Rubinstein; Elo givs a total of 11/20 for Rubinstein over two matches consistent with scores of +5-5=0 for the other match, and +5-3=2 for this one. Donaldson and Minev mention both of these possibilities as well as +5-2=3, but prefer +4-3=3. Feenstra Kuiper, Sunnucks, Golombek, and Elo give date as 1903. Hooper and Whyld, and Kingston give 1904. Donaldson and Minev give the dates Mar.-Apr. 1904 in the first volume of their biography of Rubinstein, but give precise dates between 25 Sep. and 28 Oct. in the second volume. Di Felice gives both +5-3=2 in 1903 and +4-3=3 in 1904 (the latter agreeing with the score Harding gives), both for Rubinstein (as well as the earlier +5-5=0), but no other source suggests that there were 3 matches over the period 1903-1904. | | | |
