| The result is given in the 4 Mar. 1860 issue of the Era (p.14), as the second of 3 matches between them, where it says that the first two matches 'have just been concluded'. However, the Sunday Times of 22 May 1859 (supplement, p.3) says that a return match 'has been commenced' and that the score so far was +3-0=0 for Wormald. I am guessing that this is the second match mentioned in 1860, and that it took place in May 1859. |
