| The result up to the report in the Davenport Daily Gazette of 15 Apr. 1859 was +4-2=1 for Perrin. The final result of +5-2=2 for Perrin is given in the Musical World of 14 May 1859, so it was finished sometime between mid-April and mid-May. Strangely, Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper of 25 Jun. 1859 still gives the score as +4-2=1 for Perrin. |
