| Played during a visit by Dufresne to Paris. Dufresne himself, in a letter to Sissa (1864, pp.323-326) dated 23 Apr. 1864, says that he visited Paris briefly the previous September on his way from London to Batavia. It seems certain that he knew the dates, so the fact that his visit is mentioned in the July 1863 issue of La Nouvelle Régence is puzzling. I can only assume that La Nouvelle Régence was behind on it's publishing schedule by at least 2 months. |
