| These games were played on a school trip when Lasker was still a schoolboy, against his teacher, Kewitsch, who was also a chess player. Lasker later wrote about a five-game match against Kewitsch, which might refer to the same series of games or not, but since I don't have the score, I will record here only the 4-0 result. It is not clear to me whether these were played in 1886, 1887 or 1888, so I will guess at 1887. |
