| This was a thematic match to explore the Evans Gambit. Baquero played white in all three games, which might be considered a disadvantage, but in this era the Evans Gambit was considered a viable opening, and in any case Baquero won all three games, so I will rate it. The two games given were played on 25 and 26 Oct. 1897. |
