| Wayte says that he 'made even games' with Staunton at odds of Pawn and Two Moves, 'a year or two later' than his first encounter with Staunton, which was in Dec. 1851. Later he says that Staunton came to Cambridge again the 'following Christmas' so I presume that this was when they played at Pawn and Two Moves odds. |
