| Notes: |
| Dubois (in Eco della Scienza, dell'Industria e del Commercio) says that Vannutelli was in the fourth class and Bacchi was in the fifth class, and that there was little difference between them. I take this to mean that they scored approximately the same number of games, so I use a soft result of 1-1, but since there was a class difference, Vannutelli would normally have given odds to Bacchi. In La Palamède of May 1845, games between them at odds of a Knight are mentioned, so I will guess that these were the odds, and that the games took place in 1845. |
