Dubois says that Gamurrini and Maracchi played even games, which I take to mean an equal result. Then he says 'e cosi nella poule fra questi due dilettanti uno contro due a vicenda vi fu quasi parita' which might mean that they bet two against one (for whom?) and came out about equal, which would mean a 2-1 score, but my Italian is not good enough to be clear on this. I will guess at equality, and use a soft result of 1-1. The location is not clear. The year is also not clear, but it appears in the context of events around 1859, so I will guess at that year. |
