| In a report in the Schachzeitung of Jul. 1849, von der Goltz mentions meeting Gordon in Aachen. This comes after a report of games with von Henneken in Coblenz in Mar. 1848, and must be earlier than July 1849. I will guess that these games occurred in 1848. |
