| The result is given in the 1 July 1880 issue of the Chess Player's Chronicle. I will guess that the match finished in June, but it could have been finished in May, or early July. Winter's Chess Notes page has 'H. Fisher', as does his book Kings, Commoners, and Knaves. This might be an error for B.W. Fisher, but it might also be a different player. |
