| This is the total result of play between the two on six dates between 15 and 31 Oct. 1873, as recorded in McConnell's notebook. However, van Winsen states that on two other occasions, Mackenzie won all the games. I record that separately here as a soft result, because otherwise there would seem to be a recording bias (McConnell recorded results only on days when he did not do too badly). |
