| The report in the Schachzeitung says that they played about 40 games, and that apart from the draws, Anderssen won an average of 7 out of 12. How many draws there were is not clear, so I use a 7-5 soft score for Anderssen, but if there were a lot of draws it should be even closer. Mayet went to Breslau shortly after von der Lasa left, and von der Lasa was in Leipzig 20-21 July, so I guess that he visited Breslau on the same trip. This likely places Mayet's visit to Breslau in late July, or possibly August. |
