| Sissa 1863 (p.165) says that they will give some games played in Rotterdam in Dec. 1862 and Jan. 1863, by Dufresne and Sarluis, as well as Messemaker and Dupré. Then on p.233, it gives a continuation of the Rotterdam games between Sarluis and Dufresne, and similarly on p.259. This suggests that a complete collection of the games between at least these two players is given, though we cannot be certain. The result of the games given is +4-5=1 for Dufresne. I will include it as an indication of the apparent strength of Sarluis in comparison to Dufresne. |
