| Sissa of Apr.-May 1867 (pp.135-138) has a heading 'Match v.d. Sluys--Dufresne', followed by 3 games with result +2-1 for Dufresne. I will presume that this is the full match, though it is not really clear whether there were other games or not. The date is not given, but it is followed (pp.138-139) by two games between the same players in which Dufresne gave Pawn and Move odds (both won by Dufresne), dated 6 Jul. 1865. Perhaps van der Sluys progressed to playing even with Dufresne by the following year. |
