| These two games were played during Gunsberg's visit to Amsterdam on 3 and 4 Jan. 1893. Gunsberg played another 12 games against individual opponents during this visit, winning 9 and drawing 3 (against A. Bleijkmans, R.J. Loman, and Vijzelaar), but we don't know most of the opponents or how many he won against the 3 we do know. The two against van Foreest are thus not representative of this set of casual games, but we are told the exact score of their encounter, so I will rate it. |
