| Forster gives an announcement of the match from the Sportsman of 1 Jan. 1876 and a note on the result (10-4 for Burn 'in the course of the winter') in the London Figaro of 23 Aug. 1876, and says nothing more is known about the match. It is not clear whether there were any draws, but I use +10-4=0 as the result here. The reports suggest that it occurred early in the year. No location is given, but as both players lived in Liverpool, I guess at that location. |
