| The July 1884 issue of the Chess Monthly gives this result (+1-0=2 for Judd) from Zukertort's 3rd visit to Saint Louis from a letter by Judd dated 4 June 1884, so I presume these games were played in May 1884 (the Oct. 1884 issue, p.37, says that by 3 June, Zukertort was in the Far West, so he must have left Saint Louis some time before). The Aug.-Sept. 1884 issue of British Chess Magazine gives the same result. |
