| Notes: |
| Coles in World Chess Champions gives +0-3 for Staunton, giving Pawn and move, according to Taylor Kingston and Mark Weeks, but +3-0 according to Spinrad. Le Palamède (15 Sept. 1843) says that it was to be a match of 5 games, and that Greville won 3 games and thus the match. I take this to mean 3-0 for Greville, as did Coles, apparently. From the date of the issue of Le Palamàde, I guess the match finished in Sept. 1843. |
