| A player named 'Bontems' was listed as a member of the Cercle des échecs of Paris in 1836 (Le Palamède, 1836, p.313). Apparently there was another player named 'Bontemps', a member of the Cercle des Arts, who died in the winter of 1843-1844 (Le Palamède, 1844, p.235). |
