Name given as 'W.J. Hopkins' in the 10 May 1873 Illustrated London News (p.451), but 'J. Hopkins' in the 14 June 1873 issue (p.571) and in the Chess Player's Chronicle of Aug. 1873 (p.307), in both cases playing for the Worcester team. I guess that these are the same person. The Era of 22 June 1873 (p.4) has 'F. Hopkins'. There was also a 'Hopkins' who was a member of the Kidderminster Club in 1847?
