Notes:

Gaige has date of birth as 1823. Steve Mann (personal communication) gives date of baptism as 17-03-1822, so I am guessing that he was born in 1822. Is this the Lewis who played in a blindfold exhibition by Blackburne in Manchester in 1862 (see the Era, 16 Feb. 1862, p.14)?
