| The tournament book gives a selection of games from the Nebenturnier dated from 18 Jul. 1904 to 22 Jul. 1904. Games from the Nebenturnier A and B events are dated 18 and 19 Jul. 1904, and the Nebenturnier A event involved a play-off for third, with the one game given dated 21 Jul. 1904. Either Grossmann was not involved in the play-off and this was the only play-off game, or Grossmann was also involved, in which case there had to have been at least one other play-off game, for Fein to proceed to the Siegergruppe. In any case, selected games from the Siegergruppe are dated 21 and 22 Jul. 1904. I will guess that the A and B events were played from 18 to 20 Jul. apart from the play-off in Nebenturnier A on 21 Jul. 1904, and that the Siegergruppe started on 21 Jul. 1904. |
