Notes: |
The History and Report of the New York State Chess Association says that de Visser was in the First Class, Schieffelin in the Pawn and Move Class, Underhill in the Pawn and Two Class, and Fisher in the Knight Class, which establishes the odds given by de Visser to each of the others, but does not specify the odds between the classes below first. I assume, as was usually the case, that 'Pawn and Move Class' players would give Pawn and Move to 'Pawn and Two Class' players and Pawn and Two Moves to 'Knight Class' players, while 'Pawn and Two Class' players would give Pawn and Move to 'Knight Class' players. |
