Notes: |
Ammelburg and Finlinson did not finish their second round game and no final was played. I am unsure about the identity of some of the players at this event. I am only guessing that the 'Hague' was J. Hague, for example, and that 'Jeffery' was the 'Jeffrey' who played at York in 1869. A player named 'W. Winterbottom' is mentioned elsewhere in the 1868 Chess Player's Quarterly Chronicle, but I am guessing that the player here was D. Winterbottom. This may not be correct. |
