Notes: |
The report in the Chess Player's Magazine of July 1866 (p.218) gives scores for all 24 players, but most players did not play all their games, and there is no way to determine who played who, apart from the 6 players who completed all their games. Only those 6 are listed here, but because they were in different odds classes, only those in the same class can be compared to each other directly (as only those played the same opponents with the same odds). Latham and Bennett played off the tie. The report says that the tournament took place 'during the past three months', which I take to mean April to June 1866. |
