Name: Bristol - Bath Team Match
Place: Bristol
Start date: 2 Nov. 1871
End date: 2 Nov. 1871

Notes:
This was a match involving 23 players from Bath and 24 from Bristol, in which players were randomly paired but then played no more than one game against a given opponent, so presumably once a game was finished a player had to find another free player from the opposing team to play. The total team score was +46-32=10. We don't know individual pairings apart from the game given in the Westminster Papers between Selkirk and Miss Watson. Since, by the rules, that was the only game between those two players, I include it for rating.
