Notes: |
Reichhelm's crosstable has inconsistencies in scores of Robinson's games against Barrett, Ferris and Newman, and in Barrett's games against Young. Also, his total scores do not correspond exactly to the crosstable given. I have taken the scores in the upper-right half of the table to be correct, and adjusted the lower left to match. The total scores of Newman and Thompson still do not match those given by Reichhelm. Dates of games given in Hilbert's book on Shipley indicate that the tournament lasted at least from Dec. 1886 to Apr. 1887. |
