Di Felice gives final scores for the top 10 players, but does not indicate how many games each player played. The article on Giuseppi Padulli at the Uno Scacchista website says that there were two preliminary sections, Padulli winning his section with 6.5/8, and that the scores were totalled between the preliminary section and the final. Massimiliano Orsi (personal communication) suggests that the two preliminary sections were each all-play-all with 9 players, and that the top 5 in each went on to a final involving 10 players, but that in the final, each player only played the 5 from the other section, which would give each player a total score out of 13. This seems plausible, but it means that we don't know who each player played to earn their points, so this event cannot be rated. |
