Mora, and Cabral, but they played no games, according to the 5 Jan. 1929 issue of Listín Diario (p.4), which omitted Cabral from mention, though he is listed in the 29 Jan. 1929 issue of Listín Diario (p.3) among the players with 0 wins and 0 losses. The other 11 players are listed with scores out of 14 games, which evidently include 4 wins by forfeit against the four players who did not play. So here I subtract 4 from each of their final scores and count it out of 10, as it would be for a complete single-round 11-player all-play-all tournament. There was a 3-way play-off for second place between Alberto Fiallo, Padilla and Arjonilla, after which Alberto Fiallo and Padilla were still tied, and then an additional play-off game between those two players. |
