Notes: |
This was a 14-player single-round all-play-all tournament. It is not possible to construct a complete crosstable from reports in the contemporary newspapers, but we have complete scores out of 13 for Arneil and Lilly. Wilson's final score can be deduced from his known results and the fact that he beat out Arneil for third prize, and we can guess, despite lack of an explicit report, that Hodgson and Esling each won their game against Haviland, since reported results without that game give them 9.5/12 each, we know they tied for first, and the unlikely event of both drawing or both losing against Haviland would not have passed without comment. Other players and their last known scores are: Loughran 6.2/12, Crewe 5/10, Clezy 5/11, Witton 4/9, Haviland 4/10, Landells 3.5/10, Dunn 3/11, Payne 3/11, and Alexander Wallace 1.5/9. |
