Notes: |
The scores given in Le Devoir (19 May 1926, p.7) add to 65 instead of 66, as they should for a 12-player single-round all-play-all tournament. However, Bardoff's score is shown as 1.5 wins to 8.5 losses, which adds to 10, instead of 11 like the other players. Though the ccopy of Le Devoir available online is not very legible, it looks like the score for Wilson is given as 4.5 wins and 5.5 losses, which also total 10. I will assume, therefore, that the game between Wilson and Bardoff was not played. The triangular play-off between Sawyer, Lidsky, and Robertson, which seems to have taken place in June 1926, is recorded separately here. |
