Event table notes
|
Event data
Name: 36th Canadian Championship
Place: Hamilton, Ontario and Toronto
Start date: 18 July 1931
End date: Sep. 1931

Notes:
Stephen Wright has 'Moncur, Barnwell William' here (citing the Toronto Globe and the Toronto Evening Telegram), but the Hamilton Spectator of 22 Jul. 1931 has 'Robert Moncur'. Carver forfeited to Fox, Eastman, Martin, and Blumin. The main event finished 25 Jul. 1931, but the play-offs were played in Sep. 1931. The play-off seems to have been a three-way round robin, but the report in La Presse only tells us Fox's results against the other two. Thus, we don't know what happened in the games between Morrison and Eastman.
