| Heitor Bastos and Dr. Alfredo Ferreira began the tournament but dropped out before the end, their scores being cancelled. On the first day of the tournament, Bastos lost to de Almeida, and Ferreira lost to Teixeira, and in the next weekly edition of Revista da Semana (6 Oct. 1907) it was announced that they had withdrawn. While it is possible that they played more than one game each during this week, I will at least record these two known games. |
