| Madeira de Ley got some of the pieces mixed up and lost quickly. The two players agreed to play another game, which was approved by the directors, and Leser won again. I will count this as a 1-0 result, to be generous to Madeira de Ley (perhaps it was a transmission error), though the newspaper reports gave the final result as 6-1 for the São Paulo Club, counting both wins by Leser. There was also some kind of mix-up on board 6, which led to an immediate win by Prestes. I will count this result as valid. |
