This was a single-round all-play-all tournament, originally with 51 players, but since Csánk's score is given as 43 and it is said that he only drew 4 games and lost 1, he got 43 out of 46, which suggests that in the end their were only 47 players. I assume scores out of 46, therefore. The Schachzeitung of 15 Feb. 1868 (p.64) gives a game between Dr. Pollak and M. Fleissig, and the Neue Berliner Schachzeitung of Jun. 1868 (p.181) gives a game between Dr. Pollak and E. Feyerfeil, so Dr. Pollak was also a participant. |
