Notes: |
There was a play-off between the winners of the 4 sections, Kate Finn, W.B. Dixon, H. Falloon, and Harvey Lewis. The British Chess Magazine says that Finn and Dixon tied for first, Falloon was third, and Lewis fourth, but does not give scores or say how many games were played. If they all played each other one game, the order given is consistent with either scores of 2.5, 2.5, 1, 0, respectively, or else 2, 2, 1.5, 0.5, respectively, but of course it could have proceeded on a different principle. Since this is unclear, I will record a single draw between Finn and Dixon to indicate that they tied. I assume this took place on the last day of the event. |
