Notes: |
Di Felice's crosstable shows total scores of the top 12 players among themselves, but indicates that Dethridge played (and lost) 5 games before withdrawing, against Steiner, Purdy, Pitcher, Walton, and Sayers. I include these games for rating purposes, even though they were not included for the official scores. Steiner was not eligible for the championship title, so there were play-off matches to break the (official) tie between Purdy, Koshnitsky, Goldstein, and Hastings, but these were spread over several months in 1937 and played in different cities, and so are included separately as matches here. |
