| The scores given by Di Felice and the History of the Chess Room web page add to 35 instead of 36 as they should for a 9-player single-round all-play-all tournament. I am guessing that the game between the bottom two players was not played, though this may be wrong. Di Felice dates this event to 1940, but the History of the Chess Room web page says it finished on 23 Nov. 1939. I am guessing at the identities of the players named Patterson and Gibbs. |
