Notes: |
The Deutsche Schachzeitung of Sep. 1934 (p.259) has Mross here on last board for Sachsen against Schwarz of Bayern in the second round of this interclub competition. In the listing of players representing each Club given before the results of the rounds, Mross is listed as last board for the Berlin team, while Ullrich is listed as last board for Sachsen. In the results of the second round match of Berlin against Niederelbien, Mross is also listed as last board for Berlin, playing Kranki of Niederelbien. So I presume it was actually Ullrich who played for Sachsen here against Schwarz of Bayern, as would be expected. Alan McGowen tells me that 'Ullrich-Dresden' is Herbert Ullrich. He also suspects that the Sachsen player named 'Otto' was Arno Otto. |
