Event table notes

Event data
Name: Manhattan Club Championship
Place: New York
Start date: 24 Oct. 1943
End date: 16 Jan. 1944

Notes:
The scores given by Di Felice total to 44, not 45 as they should for a 10-player single-round all-play-all tournament. The scores given by Tartajubow have some errors (Denker and Willman are given 9-1, where it should be 8-1; Pinkus is given 3.4-4.5, where it should be 3.5-4.5), but Tartajubow makes it clear that the missing game was the one between Phillips and Pinkus, which was 'postponed'. Tartajubow also gives the result of the play-off match between Denker and Willman. The Brookly Eagle of 25 Oct. 1943 has a score for Weaver W. Adams after the first round. He must have withdrawn early, and had his scores cancelled.
