Event table notes

Event data
Name: V.A.S. Tournament - Second Class
Place: Amsterdam
Start date: 1894
End date: Dec. 1894

Notes:
The crosstable given in the Feb. 1895 issue of Tijdschrift van den Nederlandschen Schaakbond (p.70) is not quite complete, but the final results given in the Mar. 1895 issue (p.117) allow us to complete the crosstable. Muntjewerff had to play a tie-breaker for 3rd prize with ten Tusschedé, who got 6.5 points, so Muntjewerff must also have ended with 6.5 points. This means he won his 2nd game against both Mendes da Costa and Tinholt. Tinholt ended with 9 points and so must have won his 2nd game against van der Meulen. I am guessing that this event finished in Dec. 1894, like the First Class Tournaement. The result of the play-off between ten Tusschedé and Muntjewerff is given as '2-1-0', which I take to mean +2-1=0, though it might mean +2=1-0.
