| Svenska Dagbladet (4 Jun. 1914, p.10) and Tiskrift För Schack (May-Jun. 1914, p.130) give only the scores of the top 4, without saying how many players there were. The Nov. 1913 Tidskrift För Schack (p.199) lists 10 players signed up for this event (the other 6 being K. Olson, F. Englund, S. Olson, G. Dahl, A. Olson, and O. von Löwenborg), but if in the end all 10 competed, the average score of the remaining 6 players would be over 3.58, which seems a bit high. Perhaps more likely is that 9 players competed, where the other 5 players would have averaged 2.5 points. An 8-player single-round is also mathematically possible, but less likely. |
