I assume the locations were Buffalo and Rochester, since the tournament was between players of those two cities and Hilbert says it was played by telegraph 'obviating the need for either team to travel the sixty-some miles between cities', but in the header for the game score, Hilbert gives the locations as Rochester and Chicago. I assume the latter to be an error. |
