| Notes: |
| The identities of many of the players is unclear. I have guessed at T. Fieldsend, but it could be W. Fieldsend. I have John Morrell France, who was active in the 1840s, but it could be a later player of the same surname. I have John Craven (of Leeds), but there were several other players named Craven, two others named John, one named James, and a W. Craven, at least. I have William Allan, but it could be John Allan of Huddersfield, or G. Allan of Halifax, and the report actually gives the spelling 'Allen'. I have J.H.S. Finlinson, but it could be Arthur Finlinson. I have S. Hudson, but it could be Joshua Gibson Hudson. The second round was not completed (Fieldsend and Craven should have played), and no third round was played. |
